Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is a scientific breakthrough in anti-ageing and skin regeneration.
PRP is an advanced treatment technology which uses one of the vital ingredients of the blood (platelets) to revitalise and rejuvenate the skin while enhancing the production of collagen and elastin present in the skin’s dermis. The end result — younger, healthier looking skin.
PRP is highly concentrated in growth factors, stem cells, and platelets that, when injected into a particular area of your skin, will firm and smooth your skin while stimulating the growth of collagen fibres responsible for skin.

Is the treatment safe?

Absolutely! Our fully qualified Skin Therapists, Nurse and Doctor ensure that this treatment is carried out at the highest professional level with no risk to the patient. We will not accept patients without a full comprehensive consultation ensuring your suitability for this treatment.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment involves taking a small blood sample from you, no different from recieving a blood test. We take about 10 - 30 ml depending on the size of the areas being treated. The blood is spun in a Centrifuge for about 8 - 10 minutes to process the rich plasma whilst a numbing cream is applied to selected areas. A Derma Pen or Endymed Micro-needling is used to make tiny puncture wounds to the selected areas ranging 1 mm to 3 mm deep. Plasma is then absorbed into the puncture wounds to regenerate your skin

How soon will I see results?

Results may vary with different patients but you can usually start to see results in the first week and will continue to see more results over the next few months as the cellular turnover increases. Noticable results will be seen in the improvement of texture, refinement, firmness, wrinkles, complexion and volume. A series of treatments is recomented with a 4 - 6 week perion between. Your Skin specialist will advise you on the number of treatments suitable to you which range from 3 treatments.

HIFU - High Intensity Focused Ultrasound

HIFU.jpg

This famous Korean Non Surgical Treatment has now become one of the most sought after beauty treatments around the world. HIFU uses concentrated ultrasound energy which is delivered to the skin by a hand held device.
A HIFU treatment can help in cell renewal creating more collagen and an overall tissue rejuvenation. Laxity in Skin improves resulting in a tighter, firmer lifted look to enhance a more youthful looking skin. Recommended 1-2 treatments depending on the severity of the skin condition.

How long does the treatment take?

A single treatment takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the area to be treated.

How many treatments are necessary?

Generally, excellent results can be achieved after just one HIFU treat-ment. An additional treatment may be carried out no earlier than 2–3 months after the first. In order to promote collagen growth and regener-ation, we recommended the use of special cosmetics. We’re happy to advise you regarding the appropriate products.

What are the possible side effects?

After treatment, you can immediately resume your normal activities be-cause the skin’s upper layers are not damaged by the high intensity ul-trasound. In some cases, slight redness or swelling may occur, which will quickly subside. There may also be a slight sensitivity to touch and light tingling sensation, which can persist for a few weeks. In very rare cases, bruising and temporary local numbness may occur. These side effects disappear after a few days.

Are there any contraindications?

Metal implants in the treatment area, Pacemakers, Blood disorders and silicone injections in the region.
